Our story

Care built on family, not a business model.

Founded in 2018 by Christine George as Chrissy's Caregiving, the business began with a simple but meaningful purpose: to provide high-quality, compassionate in-home care that allowed people to remain comfortable, independent and connected within their own homes.

What started as a small, personal service steadily grew into an established and trusted in-home care business, supporting families across Auckland's Hibiscus Coast, East Coast Bays, North Shore and eventually Whanganui. With more than 30 years of experience in aged care, including 8 years running her own business, Christine built the foundations of a service centred around genuine relationships, reliability and care that goes beyond the everyday.

After years of dedicating herself to her clients, her team and the wider community, Christine reached a point where she was ready to pass on the knowledge, experience and values she had built over her career. She entrusted the next chapter of the business to her niece, Laura, and Laura's husband, Julian. With Laura's combined 15 years as a Senior Medical Investigations Manager at a government agency and Senior Rehabilitation and Welfare Manager at a national security company, the transition was natural and allowed the legacy Christine had created to continue within the family.

Today, Laura and Julian carry Christine's vision forward under the new name, Simpson Family Care. While the name has changed, the heart of the business remains the same. They are committed to preserving the personal, family-focused approach Christine established, while building on her foundations and continuing to evolve the service for the people and families they support.

For Laura and Julian, Simpson Family Care is more than a business. It is a continuation of Christine's legacy, honouring the care, trust and relationships she spent years building, while bringing their own experience, values and vision to the future of the company.

What we stand for

Four values that guide every visit.

Dignity, always

Every person we care for is met as an adult with a full life story.

Respect for independence

We support what people can still do, and gently help with what they can't.

Honest communication

Clear, kind, and consistent updates so families feel included and informed.

Reliability you can feel

The same trusted faces on time. Our carers live in and know the communities they work in.

Hands held in comfort

Let's talk about your family.

We'd love to hear about the person you're caring for. What matters to them, what they enjoy, and what would make life a little easier at home.
